Hey guys, I'm looking to see if there's a few pdf's of studies or whitepapers out there outlining the internet auto sales industry averages for things like:

Total eLead to Sales %'s
eLead to Appointment %'s
Made apt to kept %'s
Website conversion to leads

So on and so forth... I have some general figures that we've compiled over the last few years and some year or two year old data but i'd like to update that for my end of year business plan.

Mitch, I think you'll have trouble getting the eLead to appointments/eLeads to sales # because of the inconsistency between dealers internal processes in handling the leads, products like ResponseLogix that automate most of the processes. However, what I've seen in my experience goes something like:

Conversion Rates
2%: You have a site
4-5%: You have an average dealer site
10-12%+: You have a good site
15%+: You're one of the best

Mitch Gallant requests industry benchmarks and whitepapers on key internet sales metrics like lead-to-sales conversion rates, lead-to-appointment rates, and website conversion rates to update his business plan. NickCybela cautions that standardized benchmarks are difficult to find due to inconsistent dealer processes, but provides practical conversion rate guidance: 2% indicates a basic site, 4-5% represents average dealers, 10-12%+ signals a good site, and 15%+ places a dealer among the industry's top performers.
