I guess there are lots of ways to make money (with cars) on the web. There are also lots of ways NOT to make money (with cars) on the web.Why do so many dealerships actively choose NOT to make money (with cars) on the web?I think it may just be a fear response, especially with the amount of investment made in non-web stuff (buildings, stock, franchise etc). It's almost as if many dealers are trying to prove the web WON'T make money for them. It's almost that they are happy/relieved when they achieve that truth ("YAAAAY! IT DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL, THANK GOD"), and their web-site becomes just another cost, another necessary but unwanted concrete block around their necks, supported by their profit-centres (off line "real-life" sales/service/parts/finance).Weird.Ling
