For any poor soul out their left scratching their head why the ad preview tool shows no ads are showing when you have responsive text ads and everything else is good and setup correctly.

It's a known issue. To get around the problem create a regular text ad as well for now.

"If a new ad group only contains responsive text ads, the ad preview tool consistently returns the message saying"none of your ads are currently running".

The fact that responsive ads are dynamic in nature might be the reason behind this. The transition from previous AdWords to the new Google Ads interface was a huge transition not only in terms of user interface but also the features. "
