Google + 1 Rolls out!

I doubt +1 will have an SEO play in the near future but as Google get's some experience under their belt as to how this actually get's utilized (or more likely confirms one of the 1000 forecasts they've undoubtedly laid out as part of the plan) then I could see a slight SEO value here.

We're not using this feature on our sites and I'm in no rush to get it on any of our pages or sites... unless it comes as part of a WP plugin then ok. I think this is one of those bleeding edge things that should only be touched if you have nothing left to squeeze out of more efficient and productive avenues.

If you disagree I'd love to hear it but look at how long it's taken for social media to have an influence on SEO and look at how small of a piece SM is of the bigger SEO pie.

✨ AI Highlights

Justin Duff announces Google's new +1 feature implementation on dealer websites and asks for community feedback on its potential SEO benefits. Mitch Gallant replies skeptically, arguing that +1 likely won't provide meaningful SEO value in the near term and recommends dealers focus on more established, efficient marketing tactics first rather than rushing to adopt this bleeding-edge feature. The thread's key takeaway is that while +1 may eventually prove valuable, it's premature for dealers to prioritize it over proven optimization strategies.
