Google My Business Short Names Going Away?

Google My Business Short Names are going away? Just saw this alert in GMB admin section, it appears that if you have not yet set up a GMB Short Name, you are out of luck. You can no longer change or add new Short Names.

For now, companies will need to go back to using Whitespark's awesome tool:
