Hello everyone.

I'm considering using a well-known money transfer service for sending funds internationally. They offer various transfer methods, including online, in-app, and in-person options, with competitive exchange rates and lower fees compared to some banks. Additionally, they have a mobile app with a high user rating and have recently introduced a new feature that allows users to send, receive, store, and spend money within one platform.

However, I've seen some concerning reviews mentioning issues like delayed transactions, unresponsive customer support, and unexpected fees. Some users have reported that their accounts were shut down without explanation, leading to lost funds.

Has anyone here used this service recently? What has been your experience with transaction speed, customer support, and overall reliability? Are there any hidden fees or limitations that users should be aware of?

Your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help

Can't imagine many dealers needing to use an international money transfer service. From my experience outside of automotive, just about all of them lack in the customer service/support departments. Many times it comes down to what region/country you are transferring with.

There's also WesternUnion - I used quite a bit but that was too many years ago to make to be a reliable recommendation.

Hey ! Great point Jeff I was about to recommend western union, however, If you are a dealer holding a website and wanting to get paid for shipping overseas or across states, I'd recommend payment methods to be implemented in your website, such as Stripe or Riseworks (This one is a little more complex to take advantage of).

I hope that works, in my opinion comparing MoneyGram and Western union, WU is def the best.

I've used one of the big names and the exchange rates really are better than banks, but the downside is their customer service. When I had a small mistake in my account details, I couldn't get a reply for weeks. The money eventually came through, but the stress wasn't worth it

✨ AI Highlights

A dealer asks for recommendations on international money transfer services like MoneyGram, citing concerns about delayed transactions, poor customer support, and unexplained account closures. Respondents largely discourage MoneyGram in favor of alternatives like Western Union or Ria Money Transfer, noting that while competitive exchange rates are attractive, inadequate customer service makes these platforms unreliable when problems arise. The consensus is that for automotive dealers needing international payments, integrated payment processors like Stripe are preferable to standalone money transfer services.
