Yes, they are copper & aluminum . I look at it as an advertising expense. I got tired of customers "losing" my card once they come back in after postponing a purchase [i'll be the first to admit that my follow up needs refining]. Also, ive found that Sold customers are more likely to want to hand them out to friends and family, simply because it looks good [vain but true]. My referrals have jumped dramatically since getting them.
 
Try handing out business cards with your information and a picture of the customer and their new car. You can make a template in Microsoft Publisher and just drop in the image. Give them a sheet of ten (Staples sells the blanks real cheap). Tell them you are giving them $1000 back ($100 for each person that brings one back and buys a car). People are unlikely to throw out a picture of themselves.
