Is a TI880 still required? According to our local Reynolds tech we still need to have a LP01/TI880 for some reports. Is this true? Does anyone else out there still uses these old boat anchors? I understand the F&I Printers but the TI880 seams like it should be possible to replace it with a NET printer, there is no carbon copies or anything, just daily reports.

Scott,
I think there may be confusion. We have several options for printing and either your Reynolds Account Manager or our Technical Assistance Center @ 1800-767-0080 should be able to help. If you prefer you you can e-mail me your contact information at [email protected] and I can have someone contact you.

Thanks,

A dealer asks whether the LP01/TI880 printer is still required for Reynolds DMS reports, noting it seems outdated for simple daily reports that don't involve carbon copies. While one user confirms that as of 2013 this equipment shouldn't be necessary and advocates for PDF-based document archiving, a Reynolds support representative suggests there may be confusion about available printing options and offers direct assistance to clarify the dealership's actual requirements.
