I have a major online appraisal tool that a client currently has on their site. I wanted them to add a small bit of HTML code on the thanks/confirmation page (iframe tag with analytics) that would allow me to track conversations/etc. They say this is not possible (or they don't want to).

Besides the obvious of changing providers....What, if any solutions, is anyone using to track appraisal requests as conversions in their analytics? Ideas?

You can have an image hosted on your servers that is only on the "Thank you" page and each time that image is searved and the referring URL is the "Start" page you will have an accurate conversion ratio. The HTTP Log files will show to what IP the image was served. This is a crude way of accomplishing this however if the software provider can not offer you any solutions, they can not balk at you asking to host an image on the "Thank you for submission" page.

A dealer marketer seeks solutions to track completed appraisal submissions when their appraisal tool provider won't allow analytics tracking code on the confirmation page. While initial suggestions involve Google Analytics event tracking, the most practical solution presented is hosting a server-side image on the thank you page that logs when it's served—a workaround the tool provider is unlikely to refuse since it requires no code modifications on their end.
