Reynolds Restricted Data Pulls to Business Hours

Reynolds and Reynolds.. at it again.

Data pulls are restricted to business hours for security reasons.
Which business hours? The ones they decide on.

We've got manager complaints flying in all over the place asking if we can help them run their daily 6:30am reports.

Just heard from one of our dealer groups...The official hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.. This time cannot be changed by the dealer as far as the TAC knows.

A dealer I spoke with has spoken with her R&R rep. who stated that if enough people complain they might just end up changing it back. Their rep also told her that they are having dealer's reach back out to the vendor and suggest they reach out to the RCI 'Certification' Group..

Well, the group I was working with complained vehemently.
They open at 6:30am in parts and run a report every morning on the activity from the day before. Now they can't run that report until 8:00 AM?

Outrageous business practices.

Yesterday I could not bulk export, today I can for some dealers. So strange.

Sounds like they reversed it.
I also heard they're going to reverse the bulk export issue where we had to do 40 captchas for 40 reports 40 different times.

Dear Dealer Partner,

As many of you are aware, we identified recently released functionality programmed by Reynolds & Reynolds that WAS taking away your ability to send us data from the Reynolds Dynamic Reporting Module.

This has been rectified.

These Reynolds updates inhibited your ability to export data using the Reynolds approved and supported Dynamic Reporting Module. The update also restricted the times you are able to run reports to daytime hours between 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. As you know, Reynolds and Reynolds states the use of Dynamic Reporting is an acceptable and supported method for your data movement. Because of this, we have asked and supported your transition to this methodology. For your reference see this web link:

At 3:00 P.M. CST on June 1, 2016 we were informed by senior management at Reynolds and Reynolds that this functionality was their response to an immediate security concern. The Reynolds team has since found a less invasive way to address their immediate concern which effectively will re-established the previously dis-abled functionality. We have been informed the reporting functionality will be completely rolled back and resolved within the week. We can also report many of you have already seen this functionality restored. If you continue to receive these error messages into next week:

Please call your R&R Representative and/Reynolds support line at 1-800-767-0080 immediately to have them remove this debilitating functionality from your system.
