Stuck with expensive tool

Also, on the Rep's details / info why not maybe roll some recent reviews from Dealer Rater for that particular sales rep there? They can see actual confirmed customer testomonials / reviews for that rep. That would definitely put ratings and reviews front and center for sales reps. You could even have reviews built into the tool so the customer could rate the sales rep on how well the appt was handled and bypass Dealer Rater all together!
Agreed but getting a vendor to implement that would be next to impossible so I'm left having to tackle in-house or hire outside developers which is probably out of the realm for the average dealer.

I had a similar idea but last I checked DealerRater only offers API access to pull review info if you're a paying customer, unfortunately this is for a group of sub-prime car dealerships so DealerRater is not in the budget or necessarily on the radar of a typical sub-prime customer.

So we created our own salesperson centric review platform internally with all of the structured data that allows us to get the rich snippet star ratings in Google. Created a huge organic traffic boost!

A sense of urgency needs to be created with the application. Showing "x number of ppl looked at the vehicle" and "x number of REAL TIME appt's are scheduled for this vehicle" and maybe put logic into it that once a certain number of Real Time appt's are made, highlight a call / text now to confirm availability. Or...you could some how roll into it "x number of appt's scheduled" and "x number of confirmed appts" thats powered by a sales mgr confirming the appts set.
Good point! One other thing I'm looking into is creating a sense of urgency by predicting when a vehicle will sell based on our past sales data and VDP views.

For example if our New Chevrolet Impala's typically sell within 23 days and this particular Impala has already been in stock for 19 days, we could display a message that says: "Act Fast! Based on our sales data, this Chevrolet Impala is expected to sell in the next 4 days."

Then tweak it based on the average number of daily VDP views, ie: a vehicle with higher VDP views could be estimated to sell even quicker. Obviously set logic up so it only displays this message if it creates a sense of urgency and not a lack thereof.

I'd like to see the data behind that, I bet it's very biased. Can data be considered sexist or racist? I've always wondered that.

The majority of users left the default selection that they do not have a preferred salesperson.

This is what I expected, but it would be great to have seen the raw data for that sort of thing.
Only useful if you can identify returning traffic (physical), new customers, etc.

I wonder if a http://stackexchange.com site would be good. It doesn't look like there has been a proposal yet http://area51.stackexchange.com/

Right, something with similar functionality, but I would do a stand-application, not have it run on SE. The search engines would eat it up, you could eventually incorporate an advertising business model, etc. with it's growth.

Lot's of weak stuff like https://www.automd.com/answers/, http://www.popularmechanics.com/repair-questions/, http://www.autoupkeep.com/auto-repair-qa/
