vAuto Replacement

I have been with Dealers Link for

I am not with VinCue. I was before they sold and then it became more expensive than I could justify.

I don't know that this is the same today. When I was with them, whenever I noticed vehicles missing from a competitive set I could call VinCue and ask them to add that dealership. It took about 30 days of really paying attention and requesting dealerships to be added. Once that was complete, I had what I considered to be a pretty solid data set.

Another thing that VinCue did was track competitors market penetration. Of course they were doing it based upon the dealer's website, but we could see how many vehicles our competitors were removing from their websites on a daily basis. I believe we could even see what vehicles they were.
Did a demo recently all this is all still possible.

Longtime Vauto user as we had a 3 digit account number and started using it in 2008 and cancelled during the pandemic and switched to Dealerslink and haven't looked back. Yes, Vauto is more polished but roughly 3x more expensive. Dealerslink has had great support and I can certainly see why they continue to grow.

I have them on my radar. I have some prelim stuff to do and then I hope to set the demo up through LVL Up.
We did make the swtich to DealersLink in mid-April of this year. No solution is perfect...but I find myself missing very little about vAuto. Many things about DealersLink we like even better. Support has been top notch! DM me if you have any specific questions about our transition.

Vauto's market data is superior to Dealerslink's. Dealerslink lacks data; for instance, when you input 300 miles, not enough cars are displayed. However, when we cross-check sources like Cargurus, Cars.com, and some dealer websites, we find the same cars with the make, model, trim, and year. The pricing tool also has some glitches - upon reloading, the radius is displayed. Sometimes, we have to re-enter the vehicle mileage in the competition tab, even if we've already entered it in the fastbook x tab. I am not sure if anyone having the same.

Hey everyone! Wanted to Introduce myself, I am a Sr. Regional Sales Executive with ACVMAX.

This is not a sales pitch!

First I was to apologize to @jeffspreen I am first to admit my demo for him last year sucked! Even said so in my email to him right after the demo. I work remote and live in the country and my internet was crawling that day!

Second I want to clear up some info, as for our photo handling and syndication. We did at one time use a 3rd party, we now are our own system.

Third, @Matteon if no one ever reached out to you for a demo please message me and I can get that set up.

I am a car guy at heart, spent half my life in a dealership, the other half I have been on the vendor side, but I just love helping car dealerships. We are not for everyone and that is fine, there are some other good products in the market today also, but the big point here is, this is no longer a one man game, Vauto is no longer the only option. They lack so much data it's crazy! With our ACV Auctions data, Clear Car vehicle acquisition tool combined with ACVMAX it really is a full vehicle lifecycle solution.

If you haven't taken a look at ACVMAX this year, there are a lot of changes and updates.

I will be at Digital Dealer in the ACV Auctions lounge feel free to come say hello!

Jeremy

I have been an ACV Client for a long time. I have been satisfied with our relationship.

Do you offer a "small dealer" package or is it one price straight across the board?

What type of data are they lacking?
Curious as well.

I've felt for a while now VAuto is missing/hiding sales and current inventory data. Haven't had the time to prove it out but the correlation between wholesale and retail pricing suggests some are looking at a different picture than just VAuto. (Fully understanding VAuto isn't the end-all solution for pricing and acquisition)

My guess, ACV is pulling in their own internal auction data on top of MMR. The big question is where the sold data and current listings are coming from?

The biggest one is your own sales history from the DMS, so when you can see exactly how fast you turned a unit and what did you profit. If historically you avg 3K in profit you would know where to start. Also we only pull from dealers VDP for marketing listings, not 3rd parties so we get more accurate data. We also auto match with the market listings so you are comparing the same unit down to trim and miles, of course you can manually adjust this if needed, but its pretty accurate. We also pull in all OEM build data.
