I love this quote from Fred Vallaeys, CEO of Optmyzr:
"One of the roles humans need to play is that of PPC pilot, someone who monitors the automations and can make course corrections if bad data is causing bad actions to be taken."

Leaving a dealership's PPC campaigns purely in the hands of automation does nothing to build a true pay-per-click strategy. In order for a dealer to get the most out of their PPC budget, it is essential that a strategist is overseeing each campaign and the actions that are taking place in the active ads. This should also include testing out new ad types that could be beneficial to the dealership - like Gallery and Discovery ads.

In our latest blog, we dug into some of these new options that are available to dealers in Google Ads. https://dealerauthority.com/new-with-ppc/

✨ AI Highlights

The post argues that successful PPC campaigns require active human oversight rather than relying solely on automation, citing the need for a "PPC pilot" to monitor campaigns and correct course when data quality issues arise. The author emphasizes that dealers should have a dedicated strategist reviewing active ads and testing new ad formats (like Gallery and Discovery ads) to maximize their PPC budget effectiveness. The key insight is that automation alone is insufficient for building a true PPC strategy in automotive dealerships.
