Full-service digital marketing agency offering SEO, PPC, social media, and analytics solutions for automotive dealerships.

What you do with it

aggregate buying power across dealerships to unlock discounted rates on digital tools and services, so they can reduce vendor costs without sacrificing capability or incurring long-term contracts
When a dealer lacks the scale or expertise to negotiate favorable vendor pricing on their own
connect dealers with vetted, competitively selected vendors through a curated marketplace, so they can access credible digital marketing solutions without conducting their own vendor evaluation
When a smaller dealer needs digital marketing capabilities such as SEO, social media, or website services but lacks in-house expertise
automate free inventory distribution and attribute leads across any CRM, so they can convert social media exposure into trackable, CRM-matched leads
When a dealer wants to post inventory to Facebook Marketplace and match results back to their CRM

Community evidence → Stable

The DealerRefresh community views Dealers United as a genuinely well-intentioned concept—particularly for smaller dealers who benefit from group buying power and vetted vendor access—but enthusiasm is tempered by real uncertainty about long-term viability and product depth. Specific offerings like free Facebook Marketplace posting with CRM matchback and the DealerTrack DMS discount drew concrete praise from at least one dealer. However, a prominent community voice (likely a forum moderator) publicly stated they remain unsold on the end product's long-term stability despite a strong personal relationship with the founder. Early skepticism about leading with SEO as the flagship offering signals that the community holds the vendor selection and expectation-management process to a high standard.

"Dealers United, a group-buying service for automotive dealers, launched its first vendor offering in March 2012: SEO services from KPA (which beat out 30+ competing vendors). Community members expressed mixed reactions, with some skepticism about SEO as a first offering, while others saw value for smaller dealers lacking digital expertise, and supporters argued success would depend on vendor execution and proper expectation management."

"I haven't spoken about nor given Dealers United much publicity on DealerRefresh, and maybe for a few reasons. Despite my really good relationship with Jesse (founder) over the last several years – I can't seem to figure out how Dealers United is going to effectively work for dealers. Don't get me wrong, I believe in their mission and what they've set out to accomplish BUT I'm not sold on the end product with long term stability."
