Question about getting leads through text messaging

My dealership is interested in receiving leads via text messaging. For example, we can have a mailer piece that says "if interested text 4532". Then our BDC receives the lead so that they can get in touch with the customer. Something like that. Does anybody know anything about this or have some idea about how it works? How it would be done? What we'd have to do to set it up? Obviously many companies do things similar to this, so there's definitely a way. Thanks for any help!

I would suggest that be ONE of the contact points. I would still have the traditional way to contact the dealership in addition to text.

Have you checked with your CRM vendor? I know some of the CRM vendors are text capable.

We use Autobase. I could call them, but their technology is stone age. We've had Autobase for a long time and I'm almost 100% positive they don't do anything like this.
