Hey y'all, I built a tool that scans all the private party listings (FB Marketplace, Craigslist, etc).


I tell it what I'm after, like "trucks underpriced for the Dallas market, good condition and decent tread," and it texts me the second a match lists so I can be first to it. Think of it like an employee that scrolls through private party listings all day, that never gets tired.


Built it for myself, but seems like it'd be even more useful for dealers sourcing private party. Looking for a few to join our pilot.

I came across your post about ScoutLot and I found the idea really interesting.

I'm writing to you from Brazil. I have several years of experience in the automotive sales industry, including showroom sales, online vehicle sales, and working with used-car dealerships.

Your idea actually motivated me to think about starting an independent vehicle brokerage service here in Brazil.

My idea would be to build a WhatsApp community with people who are actively looking to buy a specific type of vehicle. Using a tool like ScoutLot, I could identify interesting vehicles from private sellers and bring the buyer and seller closer together.

In other words, ScoutLot could help me get halfway there by finding potential vehicles, while I would handle the human side of the process: understanding the buyer's needs, contacting the seller, negotiating, and facilitating the transaction.

I also see a potential opportunity to bring this type of technology to the Brazilian market, because the used-car market here is very large and there are many private sellers and buyers looking for good deals.

One important thing: I don't speak English, so I'm using a translator to write this message. But I'm genuinely interested and motivated to test ScoutLot and see if we can develop something together.
