I know there were some people who were looking for dealer.com events to build their GA goals around. I managed to get them to send me a rough key that I figured everyone could use:

Google event name Details
Inventory Detail Media Tabs - User interactions with VDP media - images, videos, etc. - Mobile only
mycars-load - Saving vehicles to MyCars
inventory-detail - User interactions with VDP Images
mega-menu - Opening mega menu
Edmunds_Ad_Solutions - Managed Services - search results, directions, calls, chats, etc
mycars-login - Logging into MyCars
facetmulti - VLP multi-facet interactions
vlp_faceting - Moble VLP facet interactions
mobile_global_header - Opening mobile header (click to call, directions, etc)
dialog - Any popup dialog on the site
vlp_header - Mobile VLP Filter/Sort
index-facetbrowse - Facet selections on index page
showroom - Showroom interactions - photos, sliders, etc.
payment-calculator - Payment calculator - calculation event
mycars-engagement - MyCars actions - open recent cars, open saved vehicles, enable notifications, open price alerts, etc
recommended_vehicles - Widget loaded with recommended vehicles
Web : INDEX - Default button block interactions
slideshow-background - Interactions slideshow widget
inventory-listing - General VLP interactions
Mobile Contact Actions - Call click & directions click on Mobile

In Google Analytics, go to Behavior > Events > Overview.

You'll see a list of events that Dealer.com pre-codes into their sites that shows what actions a visitor took on your site.

VDPs, mega menu, my cars, etc.

I'm not sure this list is still accurate with the newer ROI Motors template, but I'd think it is.

A lot of people don't even know events are logged and there for for your review.

Dealer.com tells me they are only there for their own internal reference/debugging - not meant for customer consumption. But they appear accurate/believable to me.

✨ AI Highlights

A dealer.com user shared a reference key of Google Analytics events that Dealer.com pre-codes into their sites, tracking specific user interactions like VDP engagement, MyCars logins, and faceted search filtering. The thread clarifies that these events measure clickable interactions rather than page views, and explains where to find them in Google Analytics (Behavior > Events > Overview), though Dealer.com notes they're primarily for internal debugging purposes. The key insight is that many dealers are unaware these pre-built events exist and can be leveraged to build GA goals and better understand visitor behavior.
