Thanks! I haven’t seen any dealerships yet. Looks like big retailers, media outlets and celebrities are just getting on-board recently though. I’m sure we’ll start seeing some salespeople joining though.

I see salespeople using it, but few with structure. The best is yet to come.

Great writeup @Eric Miltsch

I got my eye on #4 & #8 for sure. 2020 is set to be quite interesting.

I'm really trying to see where Tik Tok can take dealerships and how brands can capitalize on this new media. All I know for sure is that no major OEM has a proper strategy, most don't even have an account, while the platform is 500 million users. Just plain crazy to me. Next thing you know, we're all going to complain we don't know how to reach young buyers... Go figure.

On the conference side, the most important feedback I've been having running Autobahn Academy is that dealers are actually relieved to find content & training online across their departments without having to pay for conference/travel/expenses + it's much more convenient.

Great information! I'm still so curious about Tik Tok. Are any dealerships here using it now?

Solid list @Eric Miltsch ! Here’s one:

“Dealers will be reluctant to dedicate resources to Google My Business, until ROI reporting improves, showing results from efforts.”

We can’t just show them how to do it, we have to show payoff!

Thanks George! You’re absolutely right - let’s put our heads together and see what else we can come up with.

✨ AI Highlights

Eric Miltsch presents eight automotive marketing predictions for 2020, noting that dealerships have largely caught up with other retail sectors in digital sophistication despite facing declining new car sales. Discussion highlights TikTok's untapped potential for dealers — with millions of views on car-related hashtags but virtually no OEM strategy — alongside the need for better ROI reporting to drive Google My Business adoption. The key takeaway is that dealers must move proactively on emerging platforms and prove measurable returns, rather than waiting until they're already behind.
