GSMarketing is a full-service direct marketing company offering integrated solutions for the strategic creative, and production needs of our clients. Because our primary focus for over 21 years has been automotive direct marketing, most of our associates have automotive wholesale and/or retail experience at the corporate and/or dealer level.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our team and cover the Chicago and Midwest region. The Account Manager, under the leadership of the Regional Sales Director, will support the process to develop, create and deliver a variety of automotive solutions through direct marketing and direct mail products to increase the demand for GS Marketing clients’ products and services throughout the Region. Responsibilities include 1) selling new GS Marketing programs to automobile manufacturers, regions, dealer groups and in certain cases, individual dealers to meet strategic goals, 2) administering GS Marketing programs with existing clients, 3) developing new business opportunities, and 4) providing management with essential sales information. The Account Manager also will take action to enhance cross-functional coordination and expand internal communications in GS Marketing.

Position scope includes, but is not limited to:

* Supplying field sales, service, and administrative activities, selling/servicing accounts, and maintaining the client base in the assigned Region. Devising and suggesting Program upgrades and enhancements; when approved, conveying/selling/implementing them to clients. Servicing the programs. Conducting overview and one-on-one meetings with clients to encourage full utilization of the direct marketing programs. Aggressively pursuing and forwarding competitive information to GS Marketing management.

* Selling the Programs include prospecting, conducting needs assessments, making presentations, submitting Project Development Sheets (PDS), securing signed agreement that details scope of project and limits of liability, and adhering to legal & privacy matters.

* Servicing the Programs include maintaining contacts and developing professional relationships with clients, conducting sales meetings/sessions as required, communicating to client all enhancements to programs, communicating to client industry trends, adhering to legal and privacy matters, and administering the Programs.

* Generating new regional business from current and targeted automotive clients for our Parts & Service Marketing Programs, Parts Marketing Programs, New Vehicle/Unit Marketing Programs, Dealer Retention Programs

* Developing productive relationships with clients and prospective clients to achieve sales goals.

* Keeping current about latest trends and promotional ideas for direct mail, e-mail, web page, telemarketing, database marketing, etc.

* Fully coordinating and communicating actions with Regional Director and all regional clients.
Requirements Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; plus four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record. Must possess exceptional skills in sales consulting, negotiating, planning, coordinating, verbal/written communication, and client/dealer focused. In addition, be able to demonstrate knowledge of GSM and industry related products and services, financial and productivity measures. Must be able to promote, coordinate and support change.
