Quick gut check for the group: are y'all using prescreened credit in your marketing, or mostly sticking to look-alikes/conquest lists?

If you’re not running prescreen, what’s the real blocker? legal/compliance reviews (opt-out/notice language), your agency doesn’t offer it, or the time to launch is just too long to be worth it? I keep hearing teams say the back-and-forth adds weeks.

For those who are using it, are you pairing mail + digital (email/display) off the same criteria, and is it moving the needle? Direct mail is still pulling in auto this year, and matching digital to the same criteria seems like it should lift responses. Curious what you’re seeing.

Would love straight talk....what works, what drags, and what would make prescreen “easy button” enough to use more often?

My company has been in the background providing data to most of the agencies out there in the Auto world, but recently have started to branch into the actual front side "solutions and services" part and think we're pretty damn good at it, but wanted to get some more market knowledge from y'all.

✨ AI Highlights

DecisionLinks asks whether dealers are leveraging prescreened credit data for targeted marketing versus relying on lookalike and conquest audiences, and seeks honest feedback on barriers to adoption (compliance complexity, agency limitations, launch timelines) and effectiveness of combining direct mail with matched digital channels. The post implies that prescreened data could amplify response rates but faces friction in implementation, with the underlying question being whether the ROI justifies the operational lift.
