Hi DealerRefresh community!
My name is Tony Steen. All cards on the table, I work for a vendor that does the whole car photo with AI thing but I come here hat in hand to learn.
We'd like to help you create car photos that your prospects and leads can actually trust.
I'm brand new to this job and working with people in the car business. Well, I guess not completely new. Growing up, I did work at Aristocrat Motors in KC one summer washing and cleaning Mercedes all day. Not a great job but it wasn't bad except for the heat. Anyway....
After starting this new job it became clear that we are missing some inside baseball knowledge and understanding about the car business.
My team is full of VERY smart tech people - PhD computer vision and machine learning scientists - who have worked in the automotive industry for decades but on the manufacturing and QC side. For example with Pirelli tires.
I'd love to learn from people who recently decided to try or buy one of these AI tools or if you decided to hire a professional photographer, or if you take the pics yourself and edit them or hell if you only take the pics and don't do editing. Basically I need to understand what's the hell is going on in your world so I can try and figure out how to help.
My question is, what are you currently/doing using to get car images online to drive leads?
