Best alternatives to adwords?

I have been having great success with an adwords campaign I have been running, but as a contingency need something that is a good contingency.

Does anyone here have any recommendations please?

There's no true alternative, but a good contingency would be social media marketing, there is still value in Facebook, etc, if you build the campaigns right.
