OK -- question from the dumb kid... How exactly does a search engine LOSE 11 million dollars a day? Obviously they have some revenue streams... so it costs in excess of $463,000 an hour to support the engine? Really??
Ouch! "Industry experts estimate that Bing must reach approximately 25% to 30% of market share to generate a profit" and that Google has 64.8% of the search market. That leaves 5.2% for the rest of the world, that is if Bing can achieve 30%.
I've never liked Bing, yet when I do a few searches for our dealership, we dominate 6 of the 10 first page results! Ok, I like Bing a little better now!

Not surprised. Bing was bound to fail from the start. I don't ever expect it to compete equally with Google or take over. Google just has too much power and they are taking over other web applications and areas, other search engines would never venture into. The Bing brand is still too new, Google has been ingrained in the minds of everyone and anyone; the brand is just too strong. They continue to be innovative and dominate every rival. I would like to see Google's downfall however; they are just getting too big and do not provide any customer service.
