Does Facebook work for dealers

Something interesting I found on FB when I was looking for Dealerships FB pages.

I typed "car dealerships", and the first page results were not good.

worst car dealerships

Car Dealerships and the Stuff They Get Away With

there were a few more, all having the same theme, but the funniest by far was this one,

Women Against Scam Artists at Car Dealerships

None of these pages have many members.

Its odd, because if you go to page 2 you start to find the "good" stuff, but with that simple search the first page results were not "complimentary". When you get to page 2 you actually start finding pages that actually have substantial numbers in terms of members.

I guess it has to do with the search terms? but I would have thought that logically FB would start with the groups with the most members?? I tried searching "automobile dealers" and again got poor results.

When you create a group or business page are you allowed to tweak your listing or is it simply by name?

✨ AI Highlights

Dealers and salespeople debate whether Facebook effectively generates car sales, with consensus emerging that it works best when individual sales staff use personal profiles to build genuine relationships rather than as a corporate marketing channel. The key insight is that social networking in automotive sales mirrors traditional relationship-building—success comes from authentic personal connections and conversations, not promotional content, with participants emphasizing that salespeople have the most to gain by leveraging their personal networks on these platforms.
