Dominion Enterprises is searching for a proven sales leader to direct the growth of its digital marketing and lead generation products for automobile dealers. The National Sales Director is responsible for achieving the overall sales plan by designing a high-performance sales strategy and building and managing a winning team of inside and outside sales professionals. The sales leader will be a member of the leadership team and will report directly to the General Manager. The position is based in Norfolk, Virginia.

Job Responsibilities

· Develop and execute on an overall dealer sales strategy
· Design and execute on business development initiatives targeting OEMs and other partners
· Recruit, train and develop a diverse team of experienced sales professionals
· Manage overall performance of the sales team and oversee all hiring and firing of sales personnel
· Create and assign territories and accounts to the sales team and maintain awareness of accounts and trends in each territory
· Refine selling strategies based on industry experience, competitive awareness and ongoing automobile dealer feedback
· Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop new products and services
· Partner with other Dominion Enterprises automotive businesses to cultivate sales and co-marketing opportunities
· Engage in professional networking, customer and trade communication and contact to identify growth opportunities and manage business relationships
· Attend key automotive industry events to drive awareness and purchase of lead generation products and services

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field
· Track record of success in sales leadership for a minimum of five years
· Strong grasp of automotive Internet marketing, online customer acquisition and conversion and media sales
· Automotive industry background with a specific history of marketing to automobile dealers
· Deep understanding of the competitive landscape for digital marketing and lead generation products for automobile dealers
· Industry knowledge of automotive retail and finance is preferred.
· Working knowledge of automotive technology products including CRMs, ILMs, DMSs and inventory management products is required
· Ability to travel to customer meetings and industry events
· Excellent interpersonal, presentation, organizational and virtual and physical communication skills
· Ability to relate to all levels of customers, management and employees with ease and enthusiasm
