What is everyone out there using as an Email provider? Are there any that are sales focuses and don't cost a fortune?

We are using Reynolds for our group domain and Dreamhost for child domains. I have looked into Rackspace and so far its cheapest option at $2/account for 10gb and IMAP.

Just changed to Office 365 off of Rackspace , but we were paying way more for hosted exchange.

Nice job Viracocha! If you ever need FREE assistance from an Office365 Specialist MS Cloud Services is there to help at 866-804-9040. All you do is add them as your Microsoft Partner of Record by going to http://mscloud.ms/partner and they can do all kinds of things for you. You made the RIGHT choice just as many dealers have been doing this year since their appearance at NADA with a huge booth. Microsoft is BACK in business with automotive!

Great point @speters. Office365 has evolved to in my opinion too many skus but to settle the pricing question you can get world class email for about $4-$6 a month now if you already have an "office" solution picked out. What's cool is that Office365 is fully compatible with both of those platforms as well as others. So essentially if we are just talking about email as this thread suggests the costs are quite minimal. What's more is that you can mix and match the different skus/pricing models. Perhaps management and the BDC want full blown Office 2013 by Microsoft and salespeople are using a CRM, finally the business manager wants to stick with Office 2007 for comfort. All scenarios are supported.

Great point Charles and Kevin... Using Rackspace is great and they are a great cloud provider. When using Rackspace - what email platform are your using and at what price? This is the question. Level of service as well as email box size would be the next question. Typically Rackspace is reselling Microsoft services which you can buy directly now? Are you saying that Microsoft's Exchange Online is best or one of their resellers is best? Rackspace has tons of options like Linux and others. Let's try to narrow this down for the topic.

I have set up quite a few dealers with Google Apps emails... and I am also a big believer as we use it for our entire organization. When they used to run the 50/accounts for free it was a no-brainer, esp for your smaller dealers.

Even now at $50/year per ($4.16/month) user, it is a great bargin. Integrates with almost all other programs, IMAP, POP, etc...and rock solid in up-time. You also get the Docs and Calendar integration, anywhere/anytime access, and the comfortable and customizable GMAIL interface.

Just an idea.
