Email Provider

I have to be honest here. After 27 years in automotive and many more in IT with my credentials I'm not so sure I'm a good fit for this forum. I'll look to Jeff to make the decision but my interest is to free the dealer from the shackles of information that come from people that are not experts in the field. It seems that perhaps this topic and my experience is causing more fray than value. I'm happy to bow out however I'll say this - Dealers need their primary communication source other than phone to be reliable, current and device agnostic as well as private. Many of the facts I know I'm holding outside of this conversation and you can talk to me directly. The purpose was simple; Dealers need access to true email.

✨ AI Highlights

Automotive dealers discuss cost-effective email hosting options, with Rackspace, Office 365, and Google Apps emerging as the main contenders, all priced around $2-6 per user monthly. The thread reveals a debate between feature-richness (Exchange/Office 365) versus simplicity and value (Google Apps, basic Rackspace hosting), with a secondary discussion about privacy concerns that ultimately highlights most dealers' needs don't justify premium security requirements. The consensus is that the choice depends more on existing business tools, team preferences (LibreOffice vs. Microsoft Office), and organizational requirements rather than cost alone, with negotiation recommended across all providers.
