Curious how you guys are handling Facebook Marketplace right now.


Are you manually posting inventory, using a VA, or automating it somehow?


I’ve been building a tool that pulls inventory directly from a dealer’s website and posts to Marketplace + relevant local groups automatically.


Trying to understand if this is actually solving a problem or if most stores already have this covered.


Appreciate any insight.

All I can say is that I know half a dozen vendors that are doing that, they're all doing it clandestine because it technically breaks Facebook rules and they've all been doing it for alot longer than I expected it to be possible.

The Mercedes I'm at uses Relay Autos! I never used anything in the past as I have PTSD of my account being banned. Happened randomly to my instagram and facebook in 2013, long before I was in auto sales. (I was still on edge so I waited a few weeks to see how my coworkers liked it). Once I put my calendar link in the AI responses i got much better show rate. I use Calendly and pay $15 a month to use automated texts to message and confirm with the leads before they come in. Thats my 2-tool solution

I'm at a higher-end preowned lot in Orange County. Been doing pretty much the exact same thing with Relay autos except I'm going to try your calendly method out. I'm only posting my used inventory. After testing for a few months, new vehicles performance don't even account for 10% of the engagement on my Facebook Marketplace. How many are you selling per month with them? I have avg'd an additional 7 units per month with them but not sure if there's anything I can do to boost it. I use hashtags under in my description template so that my listings get more views from searches and skip the images with my dealer logos. Any other tips while using them?

It is never a good idea to use automation with Facebook Marketplace. If you did somehow, Facebook keeps posts created with APIs deep down in the clutter.

My manager has the plan for our entire sales team they cost around $1,000 a month. My colleagues and I all target different local areas so it works out pretty well lead-distribution wise.

What hashtags are you using? I use hashtags as well but use all the common makes/models we have at that moment so it reaches more eyes. Also if you haven't already I'd send them some extra prompts for the AI to work with. My total messages > sold doubled after I did. Besides that just play the long game. Facebook doesn't reward inconsistent users. Before I was using Relay I was posting almost everyday for a good year, so just give it time.
