Help Me Decide on my Limited Choices in Web-Vendors

I don't disagree, but the conversation adaptive VS responsive requires a much larger discussion.

However this is why dealereprocess ALSO offer fantastic adaptive websites on top of amazing responsive websites:

Automotive adaptive website: http://www.magictoyota.com/
Automotive responsive website: http://www.rocklandtoyota.com/

Both examples are Toyota stores for easy comparison.

The adaptive site works 10x better and doesn't break. The chat works properly, the inventory is easier to navigate and the forms look like they're mobile functional. Any client that chooses the responsive option over that adaptive option should be convinced otherwise.

IMHO anyways.

But yes, this is a bigger discussion. "Responsive Websites" is just a marketing term now.
I was in the DealerFire presentation (and I have the utmost respect for them) while the presenter was showing their responsive websites. His exact words were, "It's hard to see because of the resolution on this projector".

I'll reserve judgement for when the automotive industry delivers an actual responsive website with adaptive responsive content that hides based on device parameters.

I'm glad you like it. A few things I may point out:

You will see a tremendous evolution of tech this year on websites by companies willing to reinvest on R&D.
Technology is never finished nor perfect. Its a cycle and it continues to evolve. Waiting for 2.0 is not always the best option.
Not every technology works for every dealer. Think deep about real problem and fix those first.
We don't do everything in the car business because it makes sense from a tech POV. There is some heart involved.

@Jeff Glackin

Glad you mention that.
Here are two DealerEProcess responsive sites with server side components:

http://www.rocklandtoyota.com/
http://www.bmwofschererville.com/

I'm particularly proud how the SRP and the VDP came out:

There are more things I could show you that are "progressive", but that will make Jeff mad.
We will be at NADA, where you can meet the chief architect, Dave Page.

MAD? Why would it make me mad? I have no skin in the game. So lets think about that. I have no motivation other than to try and help by giving my input. Whats yours?

Yeap, meant @Jeff Kershner, I didn't want my response to look like advertising by showing more things we have developed since you said we were not progressive.

Sorry I didn't make it more clear.

I absolutely understand this point and agree. We have done our best to refocus on the consumer. If we tailor our products to that audience, rather than the dealership that just wants to see bells and whistles, then we get the best results in the long run and we use those results to convince other dealers that this is the "right" way.

I personally don't think the domain makes as much difference as it used to with SEO, especially with Google.
I do think that having everything on one domain is great for branding, especially if you have multiple stores, used car operation, sub prime operation, etc.

If you're trying to brand Jonker as a group, go with the group website.
If you would rather have the stores unassociated, do that online as well.
