How Much Does SEO Cost Per Month in the USA?

This is the other side of the same coin. Dealers obsess over top-of-funnel spend but the math breaks down at the desk — leads come in, deals get structured, and somewhere between the first pencil and the signed contract gross walks out the door with no record of why.

Marketing budget ROI is hard to defend when the back-end is leaking just as fast.

Old thread, but adding my experience in case someone finds this later.

I run a small orthopedic practice and spent months trying to figure out SEO pricing. Most agencies quoted me
2k−5k/month with vague promises. What helped me was learning the basics myself first so I knew what to ask for.

The book Orthopedic Surgeon SEO broke down local SEO, procedure pages, and patient intent in a way that made sense for my niche. I'm not saying you need to become an expert, but understanding what you're paying for saves you from bad contracts.

For general SEO costs: 1.5k−8k/month is real, but quality varies wildly. Get referrals, ask for case studies, and don't sign long-term without seeing data first.
