PURCHASING MANAGER

NYC-based International Automobile Trading and Export Company, looking to add a full-time Purchasing Manager to our vehicle procurement team to assist with our growth due to increased demand from our international clients.

We are looking for someone who will be committed to learning about our business as well as growing with the company and will thrive in a results-oriented culture.

Job description: Your primary role will be sourcing of new vehicles and developing business opportunities with suppliers nationwide. Typical duties will include:

• Regular communication with new and existing suppliers
• Developing new supplier relationships
• General industry research
• Negotiating and overseeing vehicle purchase transactions
• Arranging vehicle transportation and delivery

Location: Midtown Manhattan, with occasional travel in Tri-State area
Desired start: Immediate
Hours: 40+ hours / week
Compensation: Performance based

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience in the automotive business, especially within a franchised dealership for premium/luxury makes

• High degree of resourcefulness, ability to improvise and think on your feet
• Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Ability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Valid U.S. Driver License (clean driving record preferred)
