If you've read my previous comments you can see i'm in agreement that if you have the time and resources, dominate Google page one for keywords relevant to your dealers name.
Screw the "if" - find the time and resources to dominate page one and get it done!
Time for a true story:
9:30 this morning I get a Google alert - what's this? Not another slam on my3cents? As I click on the link I'm only hoping this is was from a previous negative review from several months ago. Nope, I'm not that lucky. It was another negative review.
Come'on, how are people finding this site my3cents.com? It's not like it's one of the more popular review sites that you typically find in the SERPS. I'll tell you how they are finding it, because it happens to be lingering there on page one when you search for the dealer by name.
Had this site not been on google page one, I can almost gaurentee you that it's less likely that we would've received another negative review on this site. 1 bad review seems to breed others, no different than good reviews breed more good reviews.
So here I am stuck with 3 negative reviews on a site that doesn't allow me the opportunity to fix the situation or even find out who the customer is.
Talk about time and resources...now I need to take the time and resources to not only try to squeeze this site off of page one but also try and find out who these commenters are to try and fix a situation that might nit even be fixable. Double the time and resources. Great!
Get it done up front and dominate Google page one.
Another suggestion - dominate the results for " your dealer name reviews". If you haven't performed this search, do it now and see what comes up. Agreed, this is currently not a top search phrase but as time moves forward and local search becomes the norm, I have a feeling we could possibly see customers searching this phrase more often.
Take the minimum time and resources up front rather having to spend even more time to do it later. It only takes one bad review on one of these sites to penetrate page one. And it only takes one pissed off customer to find that review and decide to piggyback on top of it.
Dominate page one with your positive brand/dealers message so your not dealing with that I'm dealing with.
