Queries - Have any good ones to share?

Hi,
I am new at working with DMS', but I am experienced with databases and scripting. Can someone help me locate a user guide or something similar, for writing queries against a DMS system? Or if anyone wants to share some of their queries/scripts with me so that I can learn from them, that would work too.
All I really need to do is export data: service, F&I, etc. to ascii.
I just don't know the DMS "language" yet.
I appreciate any help offered.
