Setting up a Photo Booth

I took a look at that Carvana photobooth... intense! Does anyone know the specific equipment they use? Cameras, turntables, green screen, etc??? I would imagine for their site they in house developed the software but if anyone house any info please share.

Carvana's booth appeals to the geek in all of us. It piques our interest like responsive does

But, does the million dollar booth cause shoppers to "drop the mouse and get out of the house"? (shout out to Tim Jennings!)

I'd bet you'll sell more cars by using the photo process to sell more than your car. Let them see your process, your people, your story.

TRY PUTTING PEOPLE IN YOUR PICTURES.
Show off that THIS car is just coming out of detailing.

Try it & Measure it!
Pick 3-10 cars, give someone a towel (even a sales rep) and sprinkle the people shots around your photo of the unit. If it works, I'd expect to see a higher time on page than the baseline number. If you add the person on your 1st shot, I'll bet you'll see the CTR jump by 100%.

Photo Booth idea #2: Show off your dings and nicks.

In our shopper studies, Carvana biggest win was it's condition transparency. To my surprise, shoppers universally considered this a signal of trust.

Shoppers know they're buying used and they assume you're with holding this info. :egads:

Yago,

Every Dealer I've ever worked for and talked to reconditions their used cars prior to purchase. Carvana has proven to me that if you don't fully recondition the vehicle and clearly list the imperfections on the website, shoppers will conclude that this a sign of transparency (i.e. trust).

This observation is a great example of the distrust the shoppers have with dealers.

I agree, but I think it is impossible to recon the car to be 100% and that is why Carvana's idea is great.

Our dealership is considering going for this Dealermade set up. They charge per the number of VINs you take photos of and bill monthly. You can also buy everything outright for a large sum of money, I want to say $60k or so. Thinking about getting our own shed built and just using their technology and platform.
