Thanks CC and Jerry. You both make good point. Keeping it in house seem to be very troubling and I'm getting the feeling that most of you recommend going out for a website.
I can get in and manage most of the website, just a few advanced things he did that I can't update. Very frustrating that he's gone cold. I've even recommended David for other projects, but not anymore. Nor will I write anymore reference letters for him.

It seems that you have a Jombla type of install. If you need help with that we can also pitch in.
Not sure what jombla is, but I am using Wordpress.
Brian Nguyen asks whether dealers should build and maintain their own websites or hire a third-party company, and the community strongly advises outsourcing to professionals. The consensus emphasizes that website development is a specialized skill distinct from car sales expertise, with particular concerns about the technical complexity of inventory management systems and the risk of manufacturer interference. Key insight: dealers should focus on their core competency (selling cars) and traffic generation rather than attempting DIY website management.
