For the time being, signature lines are displayed inline within a thread / discussion when you comment or start a new discussion. This will eventually chance, UNTIL then we ask all participating vendors to re-frame from being too obnoxious. Keep your signature line to just that, a line (or 2). NO IMAGES! You can mention your service with some plain text. Be careful if you're going to include a link and DO NOT include anymore than 1 link.

Don't be obnoxious and have images, logos and 20 links back to all your properties. It's not how we operate here on DealerRefresh.

With time ALL signature lines will be removed from showing up within the threads BUT they will still be showcased in your personal profile. At that time your WILL be allowed to included all the images and links tou want (within reason). I'll post when this feature is available.

Thanks DR community!

Oh too. Dealers, you can use the signature line however you like. You want to link to your dealer websites or personal websites and such. You have a fancy signature you want to include. Go for it.

✨ AI Highlights

  • Jeff Kershner establishes DealerRefresh's current signature line policy, requiring vendors to keep signatures minimal (1-2 lines of plain text only, no images, and maximum 1 link) to avoid cluttering discussions.
  • He explains this is a temporary measure until the platform redesigns to move all signatures to user profiles, where vendors will then be able to display images and multiple links without restrictions.
  • The key insight is that DealerRefresh prioritizes keeping discussions focused and professional now, while planning a future system that accommodates vendor branding separately from thread content.
