Hey guys....In Googles quest to achieve the best results for their searchers they are going to consider site speed. That means load time. That means a plain HTML site will rank better than a Flash site. No new news there though because that is what I experience today.

Google apparently already does this with adword campaigns. You thought it was all about money. Well, it is kind of. If the user experience isn't great they lose. So how will this effect web design?

You have to take in consideration.....
-Video
-Analytic code (Too much or multiple analytic code will slow your site down)
-Start using CSS if not already
-Pictures...too many won't help, thats for sure
-Flash....I guess I would be shopping for a new website
-You may even want to consider your server (if it is shared it may be slower)

So should you panic? No, but I would start to make steps to making your site faster for sure. You may even want to watch your placement closely over the next 45 to 90 days because of the caffeine roll out.
