If anyone has cancelled their agreement with TrueCar, you need to also contact DMI directly to stop them from sharing your data with TrueCar. The contact information for that department is:

Why exactly does the dealer need to do this? Shouldn't it be the responsibility of TrueCar?

It should certainly be the responsibility of TrueCar! However, I would encourage all dealers to contact DMI and Authenticom to audit who they are sharing their data with.
