Truecar rate increase

Did anyone else get a rate increase notice from Truecar? They want to increase our rate by 83%.

You might be wondering - what awesome new features come along with the nearly doubling of the rate?

Well, none. They just want to charge us nearly twice as much.

Unrelated... is anyone else cancelling Truecar this month?

I heard they fired a bunch of people as well. I know my old rep is "no longer employed" there. He was with them since the beginning as well I believe.

I do believe I warned of this many moons ago! The bigger they get the more leverage they have. Not a dealer friendly company.

I knew you would chime in Jerry - I always saw a mess coming, but I figured we would enjoy the ride while we could.

I have to imagine they'll lose a bunch of dealers over this, though. Not even Autotrader can run around doubling rates, and they're the masters of rate increases.

I have not received an increase yet, however I did find out our rep is gone and an existing rep just has to double their territory.

Yeah I just noticed our old rep here in MD. is also not listed on the dealer portal anymore. He said he still works for TC just in a different role.
