V12 Software

Is Craigslist still relevant? It seems like it has gone downhill quite a bit in the last year.

I'd say so--with our posting regimen, Craigslist is driving about 6% of all visits to our site (behind just Google, type-it-in-direct traffic, and referrers from our group site). The analytics metrics are about in line with what Joe posted a while ago--lower pages per visit, higher bounce rate, but more new visitors--and that lines up with what I'd expect for traffic driven directly to the VDPs.

Edit: Probably worth clarifying that we're using a variation on eBizAutos' posting method, not V12 as the topic discusses.

A dealer asks whether V12 Software is worth using for Craigslist postings, prompting discussion about Craigslist's continued relevance for automotive traffic. While one participant questions Craigslist's viability, others report it still drives meaningful traffic—one dealer cites 6% of site visits—though results vary by region, with stronger performance on the West Coast. The thread suggests Craigslist remains a viable channel despite declining popularity, though dealers are also exploring alternative platforms like UsedEverywhere.
