We are thinking about switching from Carfax to Autocheck strictly due to the rising cost of Carfax. Autocheck will ultimately serve the same purpose. I was just curious if anyone else had made that switch and if they've had any customers push back, wanting the carfax?

Back when I worked as a Market Director at a dealer group we made the switch. In the few years I was there I think only 1 person had an issue with it. If someone questioned the report we just explained that AutoCheck is part of Experian, the same company that tracks your credit, and that they were as accurate, if not more accurate, then Carfax. We also saved cases where Carfax showed no problems, and Autocheck reported problems.
