Window Stickers For Used Cars

I've designed a complete solution for HomeNet (now in beta) where the dealer has total control over the options system. To improve the readability, using HN's VIN driven options data, dealers can Strikeout useless options and Rename stupidly named options. This "Strikeout & Rename" feature is already in place (I gave that to HN in a PPT presentation back in 2003).

Joe - iMagicLab has done that. The way theirs works is you drag and drop the features of the car you want to show on the window sticker. If you rename certain fields/options those changes happen universally...meaning: a change to a name carries over to the website and the tool itself so everyone is on the same page.

There isn't currently a way to print one individual feature/option - they are classified in blocks (safety, performance, additional options, etc.) and those blocks can be changed to only show X number of items in a certain font size. So you can set it and forget it or get completely customized by any way you want to do it.

✨ AI Highlights

A Canadian dealer (Mitch) seeks a software solution to generate window stickers for used vehicles since Dealer.com doesn't offer this feature natively and US-based options like Cars.com aren't available. The thread evaluates solutions including HomeNet and iMagicLab, with participants discussing integration challenges with inventory data and the technical complexity of automating option information from manufacturer databases. The key insight is that dealers need tools to control and customize vehicle options data to create professional, readable window stickers—a feature that HomeNet was developing in beta with dealer-controlled strikeout and rename capabilities.
