What software is your shop using to bridge tech punches, dispatch, and warranty?

Hey everyone,

Curious what other stores and dealer groups are using for daily shop-floor communication between technicians, dispatch, and the warranty desk.
With manufacturers getting stricter every year on punch traceability and documentation before paying claims, how is your store bridging this gap?

Are you running strictly inside your DMS screens, using third-party electronic dispatch boards, or is your floor still mostly paper routing and whiteboards?

What’s working (or not working) in your shop?

Interesting question. We're seeing the same thing: the gap isn't the DMS, it's the aging. A claim sits for 21 days because nobody owns the follow-up, and by then the OEM is calling. I'm building a simple dashboard that flags claims by age (7, 14, 21 days) with a traffic light system, so the warranty admin knows what to chase before it becomes a chargeback. Curious if anyone here would find that useful, or if your DMS already does it well enough.

A service department professional asks what software or systems dealerships are using to connect technician time punches, dispatch, and warranty documentation as OEM claim scrutiny increases. The thread invites peers to share whether they rely on DMS-native tools, third-party dispatch boards, or legacy paper and whiteboard workflows. It serves as a practical benchmarking question for shops trying to tighten punch traceability and reduce warranty claim rejections.
