Shout out to all of my fellow Scandal fans out there! For those of you that don't know, the main character of Scandal, Olivia Pope, spent her days "fixing" Washington D.C. crises and prided herself on always wearing the "white hat" of justice.

We pretty much do the same thing at Dealer Authority. Every day we march to our laptops, put on our white hats, and get to work for our dealers. We pride ourselves on "fixing" the mistakes of our competitors. We never give into syndicated content or automation - but instead, we hire fellow white hat-wearers who are ready and eager are to build quality and unique digital marketing content for our dealer clients.

Recently, there has been some chatter on the forum about "Black Hat SEO Practices," so our seasoned Digital Strategist, Kayla Maneen, took it upon herself to clear the air with our latest blog. In it, she details the most common Black Hat SEO practices we've seen, and the significant takeaways to not only rank effectively but play in Google's ever-changing rule book.

We've got just one question for you - - Does your current SEO vendor wear the black or the white hat?

The post uses the "white hat" metaphor from the TV show *Scandal* to describe Dealer Authority's approach to automotive digital marketing, emphasizing their commitment to ethical practices like hiring quality staff to create custom content rather than relying on syndicated or automated solutions. The author positions the company as a principled alternative to competitors who cut corners. The post appears to be the beginning of a larger discussion about industry practices, though the full content is cut off mid-sentence.
