Is there a reason to suspect that Amazon will succeed where https://www.google.com/cars/ failed?

Amazon doesn't currently have the infrastructure to discuss financing or trades, or even build and price a vehicle with options and trim levels. It is a dramatically more complex transaction than anything they do today. Do they have the desire?
