MileOne Automotive, based in Baltimore is actively looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to join its executive management team. MileOne Automotive is a privately held company that currently owns and operates 57 car dealerships offering 24 brands, in Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. We are one of the largest automotive groups in the country with over 3,500 employees.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Marketing Officer has responsibility for all areas of marketing and advertising of our dealerships, including an in-house advertising agency, ecommerce, recruiting and training departments. We are looking for someone who will be able to identify and implement new technologies and strategies that will drive quality leads and traffic into our dealerships.

Within MileOne Automotive, MileOne Marketing is defining the car dealership advertising and marketing agency of the future through innovative technology, partnerships with leading vendor-partners, and forward thinking. As a full-service marketing and advertising agency we combine media, creative, strategy and technology to achieve world-class marketing solutions. MileOne’s capabilities include communications planning, media planning and buying, social marketing, digital advertising, website development, search marketing and campaign management.

The Chief Marketing Officer will be expected to build and maintain a creative work place environment for our organization and staff. They will possess effective performance management methods; is an excellent project manager; has impeccable communication and presentation skills with our dealerships; and has a solid understanding of the value of industry experts and how to work with them to the company's benefit.





Requirements:
  • 10 or more years of senior leadership experience in marketing and sales management with a thorough knowledge of ecommerce, SEO and lead generation strategies.
  • Ability to understand the changing market dynamics of the automotive industry, translating them into actionable strategy and implementing the strategy to achieve pre-set objectives as determined by the marketing plan.
  • Experience in both traditional and non-traditional advertising, TV, Radio, Newspaper, Web, etc.
  • Understands the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including market sector targeting, features-benefits-solutions consulting, cost per response, cost per transaction, etc.
  • Experience in managing budgets effectively across multiple departments, financial reporting, setting up effective metrics and business processes.
  • Knowledge and experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred.
  • A team player; someone who can appreciate and use inputs from others.
  • Must be able to build productive strong relationships with dealership personnel and team members.
  • Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple projects and function effectively in a fast pace rapidly changing environment.

I work for the company and can back Jeff up. Im only familiar with my GM and she is very open to new ideas and technology.

Right now we are in the as Jeff said "put in motion" stage. ie. we've been told whats coming....it just isnt here yet.
