Google moves the cheese again. George Nenni is here to help!

Have you figured out the new Google Analytics yet? GA4. Did you know Google is going to stop collecting analytics data using the tool we all have come to know after July 2023?

Yeah, you can always count on Google to move our cheese!

Luckily, we have friends like @George Nenni to help make sense of it all. That's what he's here to do on RefreshFriday this week.

Have a question for George about the new GA4? Post them below OR during the LIVE show and we will do our best to get them answered.

Hello refreshers, it was suggested to me to fire up this thread to both let you know of a new book I published last week on Amazon, "A Car Dealer's Guide to Google Analytics 4", and to start a thread for questions, best practices and advice around GA4.

I'm glad to help here as much as I can, I know there are plenty of smart folks on here to help as well.

Don't wait, at a minimum get your GA4 code in place today. And most importantly, make sure that the dealership is the admin of the new property. Trust me, there are far too many dealers that have opted in for website or agency "free conversion", when if fact their new GA4 will not belong to them. Since the account is brand new, and a complete reboot of the old Universal, dealers need to ask and verify.

The new book will help with a complete understanding of GA4, but here are a few free excerpts:

Here is a link to our new GA4 setup and conversion guide:
Google Analytics 4 Setup and Conversion Guide

Here is also a link to our new GA4 UTM tagging guide, as the syntax changes:
Google Analytics 4 UTM Tagging Guide

These are both covered in the new GA4 book, but feel free to share these free resources so dealers don't wait, and get setup today.

Good luck to all, the work is not hard, you just need to get started!
