Digital Marketing Agencies Using AI to Write SEO & Social?

Where ai shines is the ability to create hyper focused seo in large quantities. If you truly know how to use it as a tool and not a replacement, that is where it shines. For instance I am using it now to create 30 to 40 personalized ad creatives that target customer sets. Imagine searching Google for best used 3rd row suv under 40k and Facebook also knows you have 3 kids thst play travel baseball then my ai has a ad copy created that has graphics on the vehicle photo "3rd Row SUV" "Great for travel ball moms , " in the description it points at how many baseball bat bags can fit , etc. Those small things create ads that stand out and have huge roi and conversion rates. The opportunities are endless.

It all depends on what you are tasking the A.I. to do. As part owner of an agency that has what we think is the best A.I.-powered SEO solution on the market, you have to teach the A.I. your business goals and then let it go to work solving those.

Example: Who are your 3 main competitors and what are your top 3 markets in which you need to gain share? Then task the A.I. to make content to rank your site and GMB for those goals.

You need to treat your website as your online showroom, and a good A.I. SEO tool is like your digital janitor. Always cleaning to make sure your showroom is clean and inviting for customers.

If you are not using A.I. and constantly refining it, you are falling behind.

Just my $.02. Shameless plug, we have a FREE site SEO evaluation tool if anyone wants to check it out. Will give you a list of problems we find on your site and then our A.I. can go to work fixing them for you. SEO Werks

Will we need content in the future anyway? The younger generations are moving away from Google based search and into AI ecosystems. The current SEO model has always been "Googlefied" and don't feel that 1500 characters of some text about fitting some gloves and a baseball in the trunk is going be the "new" way for SEO.

We are looking over the horizon and thinking (and doing)...What will power AI to pull our content, our data over another...and we are doing it :)

Even though this discussion is a few years old, I wanted to share what I’ve learned since then. I’ve tested a few agencies that rely heavily on AI for content creation and outreach, and from my experience, the real value comes when you combine well-crafted AI prompts with human oversight.

With that in mind, I used FatJoe’s blogger outreach service and was impressed by how well they integrated AI-generated pitches with personal adjustments - I got placements on relevant sites without anything sounding robotic.

Yes, I’d be upset if the agency didn’t disclose they were using AI. If I’m paying for human-written content, I expect transparency. AI can be useful, but it shouldn’t replace quality or honesty.

A more reasonable starting assumption at this point might be that every agency IS using AI.

And a better question (or set of questions) might be, which agencies are better at writing prompts than others? Who is better at AI? Who is prompting their AI solution in a way that complies with the rules for AI content that Google is changing pretty much daily?

If you are looking for a content tool that might give you an advantage over other dealers, you might look at startups outside of the dealer space, like Open Forge Open Forge AI

I was introduced to Open Forge while demonstrating an Agentic super connector tool to my class at the Automotive Business School of Canada that utilizes LinkedIn data to connect individuals who aren't necessarily in each other's networks, called Boardy. Boardy | I’m the World’s Most Connected AI

My family business starting using Ai for their online marketing 12 months ago. It's a small family operation that has no dedicated marketing department or marketing person. The results have been phenomenal. Their marketing now sits on par with large scale multi franchise dealers in our area. They use Ai to produce showroom quality images and write professional ad copy, as well as assist with video production. They have never had a customer complain about any of that. The pictures showcase the quality of the cars better. The ad copy connects better as its crafted using Ai to resonate with typical buyer profiles for each particular car. This is something that not even a great marketing person could do at speed and with consistency.

The margins and stock turn are significantly higher. We have taken a small business that 12 months ago my honest assessment was that it was a waste of time, to one that has a bright future. My advice 12 months ago was blunt - "fix the marketing or shut the shop". (I am a business consultant and not directly involved in the day to day running of the business).

Would it bother me if an agency I was paying used Ai to produce the same results? Not in the slightest. If it translates to the bottom line, then go for it, are my thoughts. It's little different that hiring an expensive lawyer at a top law firm and the bulk of your brief being worked on by a junior (which we all know is the case). You are paying the agency for knowing what good copy is, just like you are paying the law firm to know how to best make your case. How they make it, is pretty much irrelevant - the quality of the output is the important thing.
