Got a heads up from a Brian Pasch email this am, Google has reset its Page Ranking system.

I checked my PR and it has changed. I checked Alex's and Eric's site and I haven't lost any ground, sheeewww.....

AutoTrader.com = PR5
Cars.com = PR7


CarMax.com blows me away with only a PR of 5.
Used Cars Online, Used Autos for Sale, Find Used Vehicles & Used Car Dealers ? UsedCars.com has been popping up in SERPs all over my radar and it's only a PR5.

We dropped to a 3 for a few months, and I couldn't figure out why because we had been a 4 for years.

Interesting. Not that PR directly translated into money; it is arguable that a higher emphasis from Google will translate into better SEO exposure though. I wonder if Cars.com will incorporate any of this into their advertising? I'd be surprised if they did. But if they did, that would sure get the industry talking about Page Rank. It would kind of be on par with arguing over which camera is better solely based on MegaPixels.

I have AutoTrader as a 6/10 on my toolbar.

For what it's worth, by the time the toolbar is updated, any SERP changes have already been in affect for weeks.
