I'd make sure to differentiate between sales and fixed-ops. Loyalty programs work better under fixed-ops, IMO. Most application focus on those. I used to partner with a few of these and pitch to dealers as part of their overall strategy.
You might also want to take a look at http://www.3birdsmarketing.com/dealer-solutions/service. At the end of the day, all of those loyalty apps are about service / fixed-ops and sales retention. Then again, I'm unsure of the consulting extent / what you're looking to provide the client.
